We were lucky enough to get the chance to pitch for a project as famous as Peters Fraser & Dunlop, one of the UK’s oldest and largest literary agencies, with a distinguished history and a rota of high-profile clients in the literary field.
Our brief was to construct a competitive pitch for updating their existing website, making it easier for PFD’s own team to manage whilst preserving it’s many years of search engine history and traffic.
Creatomatic pitched a re-design which updated the colour palette and font families of Peters Fraser and Dunlop without losing sight of their existing branding.
We integrated skeuomorphic design elements to house authors and titles – the book shelves and covers – and build several custom elements such as the infiniscroll on category pages and the titles animation on individual author pages (we’re very proud of that one!).
Our own Superfast Search function helps viewers find a specific author quickly and easily from the search box, which auto-completes the list as you type – great for finding authors with unusual or tricky to spell names.
We’ve had overwhelmingly positive feedback on the updated design, from both the client and their customers. By keeping the existing admin system and data in place, the PFD team are able to continue to manage their ongoing content requirements via an elegant, fast-loading new site.
