GPOL (Glasgow Precision Oncology Laboratory)

Web design, logo and branding for GPOL

The Project

Creatomatic were approached by the University of Glasgow to pitch for their pioneering cancer research lab, the Glasgow Precision Oncology Laboratory (GPOL), in 2018.

GPOL, established in 2016 and headed up by Professor Andrew Biankin, use cutting-edge genomic sequencing technologies to apply and test precision-based medicines. A really interesting project this one – and Creatomatic were naturally honoured to be given the opportunity work with a massive educational institution like UoG..

Our Role

GPOL had no website presence, logo or branding. They needed a website which explained clearly who they were and what they were all about and a recognisable logo and brand pack to give them real brand identity.

Our designers worked closely with the team at GPOL, presenting a number of different design options, before agreeing on a final design and colour scheme the team were happy with.

The website development

With the designs and colour scheme agreed, the studio set about creating a site that met the brief, providing a full design and build service, as well as one-to-one training to make sure the site could be managed on an ongoing basis in the future.

“The Creatomatic team are very approachable and always eager to help. They responded quickly to my email requests and have also provided a very good level of aftersales service now that our website has launched.”
