The project
Co-organised by none other than our own chief of design, Paul Gardner (who moonlights as MTAF Vice Chairman in his spare time) Muckle Toon Adventure Festival was formed in 2012 from an idea by a group of Langholm-based outdoor enthusiasts keen to showcase their home town as the true adventure Mecca it’s not always recognised for.
Since they began ‘MTAF’ has grown year on year into one of the highlights of the Scottish cycling, trail running and hill-walking calendar, with various sporting personalities pitching in to entertain and inspire the crowds with talks and demos throughout the event.
Previous festival weekends have played host to cycling legends Danny MacAskill, Graeme Obree and Mark Beaumont, ultra-marathon runner Dr Andrew Murray and ‘The Ranulph Fiennes of British Climbing’ Andy Kirkpatrick.
