Living Wage
Proud living wage employers
Creatomatic are proudly accredited as a Scottish Living Wage employer.
We take our team’s welfare seriously and paying everybody that works with us fairly has been part of our ethos since day one. It meant that the decision to make the leap and commit to the movement was an easy one.
Paying a fair living wage isn’t just the right thing to do for our colleagues, it also makes good business sense. Ours was the first business in our home town to join the movement in 2015. Today we’re the only officially recognised tech business in Dumfries and Galloway paying the Scottish Living Wage. It’s part of what makes us different.
What is it?
The real Living Wage is an independently calculated rate based on the cost of living and is paid voluntarily by employers. It’s reviewed and calculated each November by the Resolution Foundation on an analysis of the wage that employees need to earn in order to afford the basket of goods required for a decent standard of living. This includes things like housing, transport, childcare and energy costs.
The real Living Wage is different to the UK government’s National Living Wage which is not calculated according to what employees need to live on.
