We’re looking to hire a Business Development Manager to help deliver our growth plans for Creatomatic, working with our team in South West Scotland.

The role

Your remit will cover overseeing incoming sales; refining and enhancing our product and service range; and ensuring that we meet targets to reach our continued growth aspirations. You’ll manage two direct reports, with a sales assistant and a part-time marketing assistant in your team.

We’re looking for a creative, confident and enthusiastic self-starter with a strong understanding of the digital world, who can help us with our plans to take Creatomatic to the next level.

Duties and responsibilities

Duties will be varied, but will include:

  • Planning realistic, attainable sales goals with directors and team leads
  • Generating leads from a variety of sources
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients
  • Preparation of proposals, quotations, and tender documents
  • Reviewing and signing off projects on completion
  • Marketing strategy development with our marketing assistant
  • Product and service development
  • Team management: reviews and career progression

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who has proven experience in business development, sales or marketing, and is ready to use their skills on a new challenge.

You should be confident and personable, with a strong strategic approach to sales and marketing and an eye on the long game. Excellent IT skills are essential, and experience with CRM systems will be required too.

Why Creatomatic?

Creatomatic are an incredible, close-knit team of creatives, working together to make brilliant things: websites, brands, and all sorts of digital things for all sorts of clients.

We’ve been constantly evolving for over a decade, and while we’re committed to helping our team build their skills in a professional environment, we’re also a great fun place to work.

Our staff retention rate is extremely high, with a very low turnover of people and career progression plans and regular reviews for all our staff. We take our staff welfare and work/life balance really seriously, offering flexible working hours, remote working, a generous holiday allowance (usually two weeks off over Christmas and New Year + bank holidays + 24 days to take when you like) and no micro-management or clock-ins. Basically, we treat people like adults.

The fun side, meanwhile – we host regular (non-obligatory) team days and meet-ups, our annual Creatomatic Bake-Off, a Mariokart lunchtime leaderboard and a fabulous private garden at our office, complete with barbecue for our summer parties.

Please note: We’re sorry, but this is an on-site role, so we cannot accept applications from full remote candidates. We also do not accept applications from agencies.
