Delivering vital information in emergency situations online

Work: Moffat Mountain Rescue

Moffat Mountain Rescue are a charity that has been coming to the aid of walkers, climbers and members of the local community in the East of Dumfries and Galloway since 1969.

They were looking for a new website to communicate the vital work that the charity does. Their old site was outdated and tricky to use on mobile, so their brief included an updated design and website build that would be accessible anywhere… even on top of a mountain.

Key Project Points

Our planning team worked with MMR to identify their requirements in more detail, before the project was handed over to the design team.

  • The website design leaned heavily on the existing branding, using the colour palette throughout to ensure the site was recognisable
  • Paul took inspiration from his days out walking and climbing, using the contour lines from OS maps as part of the design style
  • We worked with the client on creating a new site structure to highlight everything they do, from events and training to news and advice on heading to the hills

The final site showcases the fantastic work that Moffat Mountain Rescue do, as well as their commitment to keeping people safe on the hills.
