Working with Creatomatic

Since 2012, we’ve refined a process that cuts through the jargon and focuses on what really matters: delivering honest expertise and technical support you can rely on.

From local heroes to national brands, our goal is the same. To deliver excellent results in as smooth, pain-free and – dare we say – enjoyable an experience as possible.

What to expect

We build long-term partnerships based on three simple principles:

Direct access to experts

You talk directly to the people building your site. We have an expert team on hand that you can talk to when you need us.

Honest, jargon-free advice

We’ll never try to blind you with science. If a feature isn’t right for your goals or your budget, we’ll tell you.

Exceptional aftercare

Launching your website is just the beginning. From daily maintenance to technical expertise, we’re in it alongside you for the long haul.

How do you pronounce your name?

Create-o-matic. Thanks for asking!

The name, incidentally, derives from Gilbert Ratchet – a recurring character in Viz magazine who creates ludicrous machines in the manner beloved by classic British comics, frequently ending in the ‘-omatic’ suffix.

How do you handle complex integrations and custom functionality?

We are WordPress specialists with a deep understanding of all its nooks and crannies.

From API integrations with your CRM, bespoke e-commerce workflows to complex booking systems, our experienced in-house team are on hand at every stage to build solid, reliable systems that help you get stuff done.

We don’t rely on ‘off-the-shelf’, un-tested third party plugins for core business needs; just robust, scalable solutions tailored to your specific operations and needs.

Why do you specialise in WordPress?

We use WordPress because it offers the perfect balance of user-friendly content management and enterprise-grade flexibility. It powers over 40% of the web – from local heroes to global brands.

By starting with an open-source platform, we ensure you aren’t tied to a proprietary system that’s impossible (or at least very painful) to leave, giving you total freedom and scalability as you grow.

Can you help us migrate from an existing system?

Absolutely, we do this frequently.

Most of our projects involve migrating complex data from legacy systems or other proprietary platforms. We handle the technical grunt work of data mapping and setting up SEO redirects to ensure your transition to a new Creatomatic site is seamless, secure, and preserves your hard-earned search rankings.

Are there any hidden or ongoing costs?

We believe in no surprise billing.

Beyond the initial build, your ongoing costs typically cover secure hosting and an aftercare package tailored around your needs. We provide a clear breakdown of all recurring fees at the proposal stage, including contingencies where appropriate so you can plan your budgets with confidence.

No alarms. No surprises.

What does your project management and communication look like?

We believe in total transparency.

You’ll have direct access to our senior team throughout the project. We use a structured, milestone driven approach to ensure that timelines are met and budgets are respected. No gatekeepers, no jargon – just clear, professional communication from the people actually doing the work.

How do you approach data security and site performance

We are Cyber Essentials certified and performance and security are baked into our processes and builds from day one.

We provide enterprise-grade, secure hosting powered by 100% renewable energy, backed up by proactive maintenance. This includes manual check-ins, regular security patches, performance tuning and 24/7 monitoring to ensure your digital presence is always fast, secure and available.

What happens after the site goes live?

A high-value digital asset requires ongoing care to maintain its return on investment.

We provide exceptional aftercare packages that go beyond simple hosting. We act as your long-term digital partner, providing the technical expertise needed for continuous improvement, security updates, and scaling your site as your business grows.

Can you work alongside our existing internal teams or agencies?

Yes, happily and frequently.

We often collaborate with internal marketing departments and external branding or marketing agencies to handle the technical implementation of their strategies. We’re happy to act as your specialist technical arm, providing the high-level development expertise needed to bring complex creative visions to life.

We enjoy a well-earned reputation for playing nice with other agencies. Everybody wins that way.
