CREATOMATIC IS a CERTIFIED B CORP.

It means a third party – B Lab – has assessed every aspect of how we run Creatomatic and verified that we meet high standards for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

We’ve been assessed not just what we say, but what we actually do.

There are over 11,000 B Corps globally and we’re proud to be one of them.

From day one, we’ve believed that how you run a business matters as much as the work you produce. B Corp certification isn’t a new direction for us, it’s a formal recognition of the direction we’ve always been heading.

We’re based in the South of Scotland, in a rural community.

We hire locally, buy locally, and invest in our community. We’ve been a Real Living Wage employer since day one. We choose to work with clients we believe in.

We’ve legally embedded our commitment to people and planet into our company Articles of Association, which means our directors are required by law to consider the impact of every decision on our employees, our community, and the environment: not just the impact on profit.

B Corp covers these five areas

Workers

We’re a Real Living Wage employer. Every member of the Creatomatic team is paid at or above the Living Wage Foundation rate. We’ve grown our team by 20% in the past year, creating new jobs in a rural Scottish town at a time when much of the digital agency industry is contracting. We invest in our people’s development, gather regular feedback, and take our team wellbeing seriously.

Community

We’re proud of our rural roots. We buy local wherever we can – from the tradies who maintain our building, to the cafe round the corner where we take clients for meetings. Our preferred supplier list reads like a map of our town and region. We believe that a successful business should leave its community better off, not just extract value from it.

Environment

As a digital agency, our environmental footprint is pretty light by its nature. But we take it seriously proportionate to our size. All client hosting we manage runs on renewable energy. We have a zero to landfill policy for IT hardware and an Environmental Management System that sets measurable targets for energy, waste, and local purchasing. We measure, we report, and we improve.

Governance

Our commitment to people and the planet is written into our legal constitution. Our Articles of Association require our directors to consider the interests of employees, suppliers, customers, community, and the environment in every decision we make. We also have a written client ethics policy: there are industries we won’t work with, regardless of the commercial opportunity.

Customers

We build long-term relationships over short-term transactions. Many of our clients have been with us for years. We’re honest about what will and won’t work; we stand behind what we deliver; and we measure satisfaction because we genuinely want to know. We choose to work with clients we believe in, and we think that shows in the work we put out into the world.

If you’re a client, it means you’re working with a digital agency that holds itself to account way beyond the brief.

If you’re thinking of joining the team, it means you’re considering an employer that has been independently verified to treat its people well.

If you’re another business wondering whether B Corp is worth pursuing, it is. It’s hard work, but it’s worth it.

Creatomatic Ltd is a Certified B Corporation, verified by B Lab.
