michael.

Having developed a genuine interest in web development over a number of years, studying and researching in his own time alongside working full time, he jumped at the opportunity to make the switch into the industry properly.

The support role offered varied day-to-day work, plenty of problem solving, and a solid insight into how the industry operates across a wide range of clients. Michael has since made the move into the build team, where he now works as a Junior Builder, putting the skills and knowledge he’s been building ever since into practice.

What keeps him at Creatomatic is the talented, genuinely helpful team and the opportunity to keep learning and progressing.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self?

Be more decisive about the career path you actually want to pursue, and don’t waste time in industries you’re not really interested in. A bit more confidence earlier on would have gone a long way.

What does the perfect weekend look like?

I enjoy splitting the weekend up with a mixture of spending time with friends & family, socialising and sitting down to the football and F1.

If you could learn one completely new skill tomorrow, what would it be?

How to centre a div.

What’s a project you’re particularly proud of and why?

Working on the TP Niven website project. This was the first build that I worked on and it taught me a lot about the build process. It was interesting to see the process from start to finish and how the team like to work on builds.

What’s your favourite Creatomatic moment so far?

I’d say the team day out to TopGolf in Glasgow. It was great to get away for a bit and spend the day with everyone.
