Welcoming Shine Agency clients to the fold
One of our favourite design agencies, The Shine Agency, closed its doors earlier this year, after 27 years of trading.
Shine’s founder Craig reached out to us towards the end of August to let us know that this was coming, and to see if we could help manage the client base going forward at Creatomatic. We were honoured to be considered for this – and a bit of research revealed that we’d be a good fit with our WordPress development background.
Since then, we’ve taken the reins to make sure that businesses didn’t lose their digital footprint following the liquidation. We’re providing website support and ongoing design services for the Shine client base, and we’ve rescued a clutch of in limbo projects which were in danger of stalling.
If you’re a former Shine client reading this, you’ll have already spoken to one or more members of our team, via an intro call, meeting or, in some cases, both. There’s been a lot of understanding in a difficult transitional period; heaps of appreciation for what we’ve been trying to achieve; and we’ve really enjoyed our conversations with people who have never heard from us until a few weeks ago.
Shine spent over a quarter of a century at the cutting edge of Scottish digital design. They’d picked up multiple SDA Gold awards. They’d been a long-term favourite of ours: virtually every new launch that they put out would be met by a gathering of admiring designers round a monitor in our studio.
The agency will be much-missed – but we’re happy to have been able to provide a new home and steady the ship for a wide range of new clients here at Creatomatic.
