The client
William and Jack Matthews, the brothers behind Oyster Holiday Cottages, approached us with a clear, high-end vision. After successfully running and selling a family-owned agency, they had the experience and local knowledge to know exactly what the North Wales luxury market was missing. They wanted to create a five-star self-catering brand that felt as premium for property owners as it did for guests. They needed a creative partner who understood the holiday-let industry inside out – that’s where we come in!



The challenge
The main hurdle was the calendar. With Oyster’s busiest season fast approaching, we had a very tight window to build a brand from the ground up – from the initial logo concepts to a fully functioning website. Because Oyster is all about the experience, the site couldn’t just be a booking engine; it had to feel like a digital extension of a luxury coastal retreat. We had to work quickly and collaboratively, designing the visual identity while simultaneously mapping out how the properties would actually look and feel on the screen.

The result
We worked in total sync with the Oyster team. While our designers were busy crafting a sophisticated brand identity that reflected the name of the business, our planning and development teams started on the website. This gave Will and Jack the space to start building their content while we polished up the final designs. We focused on making the navigation simple and the imagery the star of the show, ensuring that every interaction felt effortless and high-quality.
This work has delivered an incredible debut for the brand. Since launching in April 2024, the website has become a true engine for growth, helping the team welcome 73 new properties to their portfolio in record time. The response from the market has been just as impressive, with a 347% surge in non-branded clicks and a 125% jump in branded searches year-on-year. It’s a platform that doesn’t just look stylish – it’s actively helping Oyster carve out a leading name for themselves in the luxury accommodation space.
