News: May Recap

May Recap

Jack Ogston 6th of June 2022

If you thought last month was exciting, wait until you find out what the month of May had in store for Team Creatomatic. In April’s instalment, we had a birthday and an engagement, but May takes the biscuit with a birthday, a wedding AND a surprise trip to Berlin.

Then there’s the actual work stuff, like wicked cool site launches and local events.

AIMS Grant Management Software

AIMS is a grant management system specifically designed for public and social sector organisations to manage grants and funding programmes. They have been serving government, social, and development sectors for over three decades, with clients including Deloitte, Dublin City Council and Facebook.

AIMS came to us looking for an updated website design with increased functionality that would allow them to update and manage the site as required. They had a fantastic design brief, and were conscious that they didn’t want the site to look too corporate.

Zoe took the brief and ran with it, creating a clean, modern and professional site that would allow the client to showcase who they are and what they do. There were areas of the content that were quite wordy (such as the case studies), so we were conscious of factoring this and the way the way they could be displayed into the design.

There were also a few hurdles in terms of imagery, so Zoe worked on some icons and illustrations that would help to communicate the services that AIMS provide whilst also breaking up the wordy content and incorporating the colour palette.

Women in Business Event ‍

We were thrilled to be asked to take part in SoSE’s Women in Business event at Moat Brae in Dumfries. We’ve probably talked enough about it already, but there’s a whole post and pics on the blog if you want to find out more!

Mental Health Awareness Week

You might have seen in last month’s recap that we took part in the ‘Rural Connections’ mental health awareness course. As a result, we were asked if we wanted to speak about our experience on the course for the Mental Health UK website.

Congratulations Chris and Sally!

Massive congratulations to Chris and Sally who got hitched at the beginning of the month!

Surprising JT in Berlin

Jonny T was been away touring with his band, Wrest, in Germany last month and wasn’t allowed to get away from work for more than five minutes before Kit and JM decided they would head out to Berlin to surprise him.

Happy Birthday ZoZo!

Another birthday, another excuse for a generic caterpillar-inspired cake. Happy happy birthday to designer Zoe!
