Team Travel to the 2024 ASVA Conference

Emma Porteous 18th of November 2024

Last week Amy and Kit headed up to Perth Concert Hall to exhibit at the ASVA Annual Conference. We joined the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions back in June 2023, it was a no brainer in building our knowledge and understanding of the tourism industry and it has been an incredible resource for us in the last 18 months. We’re really proud to support the industry at such an exciting time.

ASVA is the representative body for visitor attractions in Scotland with over 280 organisations in membership, representing almost 500 individual sites all across the country. Their work connects the attractions sector together, providing advice, information, statistics, networking and training to drive forward quality within the industry and support the members in their aspirations.

It was great to see so many businesses with over 390 professionals from Scotland’s visitor attraction and tourism sector.

The conference reflected ASVA’s vision for “World Class Scottish Attractions” and its mission to “Inspire, Represent and Support the Scottish Visitor Attractions sector.”

The conference programme featured really interesting sessions that addressed key areas essential to the sector from Crafting Unforgettable Experiences with speakers from The Royal Yacht Britannia and Big Ben sharing insights into creating experiences that improve visitor engagement; to specialist sessions on digital transformation and community engagement.

We also got to hear from top industry voices like Visit Scotland, ALVA and the Scottish Tourism Alliance discussing all the latest emerging trends and opportunities shaping the future of Scotland’s Visitor Attraction sector.

One of the highlights from the day was the celebration of the Scottish Attractions with the Inspiring People Awards, they really highlighted the amazing work that goes on behind the scenes and the world class attractions we have on our door step here in Scotland.

We’re looking forward to continuing our work with ASVA at such an exciting time for the industry.
