Introducing Cyber Essentials

Creatomatic is in the process of getting Cyber Essentials certified.
Cyber Essentials is a government-backed scheme which helps organisations protect themselves against common online threats. It’s a set of five standard technical controls that organisations should have in place to protect themselves against the most common cyber attacks.
There are a number of benefits to working towards this accreditation:
Cyber Essentials is a recognised standard
Many organisations in the UK need their suppliers to be Cyber Essentials certified to demonstrate their commitment to cyber security.
Cyber Essentials can help to reduce the risk of data breaches
A data breach can have a devastating impact on an organisation, from both a reputation and financial standpoint. Cyber Essentials can help to reduce the risk of a data breach by implementing basic security controls designed to protect sensitive data.
It can help to improve operational efficiency
By improving their security controls, organisations can improve their operational efficiency by reducing the time and resources that are wasted on dealing with cyber security incidents.
Time freed up here can be better spent on staff training and proactively helping clients.
We know that our clients value security, and trust that we take it very seriously. We’re already well positioned with our cyber security protocols – but this certification will cement our good practice and further demonstrate our commitment to protecting your data and systems.
Most of our tools and processes already exceed the requirements, which is great. But in order to get certified, we’ll need to accelerate the planned upgrade of some of our hosting infrastructure (something we already have on the roadmap for this year).
In the vast majority of cases there will be no disruption to hosting services. However, if required, your account manager or a member of our support team will be in touch with you ahead of time.
