kelsey.

After university, she expanded her skills in a customer service role, focusing on helping clients resolve issues and finding positive outcomes, a mindset she carries into her work today.

A passionate football fan, you might find Kelsey in the stands or glued to the TV supporting her favourite team. When she is not watching her team, she enjoys catching up with friends and family over coffees, whether that’s on a walk or just at home.

Born and raised in Dumfries, Kelsey was keen to stay local and continue her development in the digital field, that’s when Creatomatic popped up (her brother will take credit for telling her about Creatomatic). A Digital Agency that put out a family ethos, which perfectly matched her ideal work. Kelsey has been at Creatomatic since mid-2020, and how quick time has passed in the best possible way.

What’s one hobby or activity that helps you recharge?

A bit of a mixture to be honest. From spending time with my family and the dogs – this could be something as simple as sitting watching the football (although not relaxing, it’s a chance to just completely switch off). Catching up with friends, whether that’s going for coffee, a mooch around the shops or just heading out for a walk. Books, TV and Movies, I love to get engrossed in something and feel like I can’t wait to read the next chapter, watch the next episode.

If you could learn one completely new skill tomorrow, what would it be?

In a work capacity, HTML & CSS, I think it would help to enhance the support I can provide to clients.

For me personally, I’d love to learn how to do pottery, I did a workshop once and it was honestly so relaxing. The idea of putting on music and creating something that I would use just sounds lush.

Have you always wanted to work in web support?

Nope, I wanted to be involved in a digital field, but I weirdly thought it would be in a design-y capacity because I had an interest in art and was a bit creative, but these are two entirely different things. When I really think about it though, I love problem solving, on a basic level of doing a puzzle, a sudoku or brain teaser puzzles. I think my role ties in nicely with that, I get given problems and I need to figure out the best way to get to the solution, whether that’s through my own skills or working with the team to get to it.

If your approach to work had a tagline, what would it be?

I’m going to steal the popular Ghostbusters tagline, “Who you gonna call? Kelsey.”

I like to think I’m a go-to person, whether a client’s stuck and emailed/called, or the team needs an extra pair of hands. I like to think I’m well rounded in what I can offer to both client and the team in general, as well as having an eagerness to help when I can.

What’s your favourite Creatomatic moment so far?

Our Team days, I love when we all get together as a team and really just have a laugh.

Whether that’s the big team days out to Top Golf or just the simply BBQs at HQ.

For me personally, my work doesn’t always cross paths with design or marketing, so when we get days where get together I just really enjoy it.
