Web and UX Design
Bespoke websites unique to your brand and designed to deliver results for your business
Web Design & Development
Creatomatic design and build websites for businesses of all shapes and sizes, from large-scale corporate clients and established not-for-profits to self-catering holiday agencies and public sector entities.
We work and communicate with clients at every stage of the process to get to know their business and brand. This helps us create a final product clients are proud to market and drive customers to, which also meets the needs of their business operation.
WordPress Development
We’re experienced WordPress developers with an internally managed code library and our own development framework.
As a result, Creatomatic websites benefit from a superb industry-standard CMS, as well as automatic updates and open-source security for peace of mind.
Our websites are fully responsive and built to deliver content and layouts for mobile, tablet and desktop devices. The result of this is fully bespoke, fast and beautiful websites with exceptional levels of client control.
Process
Our talented team have developed an efficient and manageable process for handling our website design and development projects.
While no two bespoke website projects are exactly the same, having a tried and tested process in place enables us to work with our clients in an easily manageable, predictable and practical format, keeping you in control and in the loop at all times.
Every new project at Creatomatic starts with a handover document covering the overall project summary; aims and objectives; KPIs; timescales and deliverables and specific requests or requirements.
This enables us to keep sight of goals as the project progresses through our three teams: design, build and content.
Our teams come together to review the project and ensure that everyone has a full understanding of requirements.
Tasks are assigned; research is carried out; and if appropriate wireframes and sitemaps are produced for review.

Content Request
If content is to be supplied by our client, Creatomatic will supply a list of required assets at this stage in the project.
Wireframes
A 'design style' is created - usually 1-3 layout designs - incorporating branding and colour schemes and picking up on the main aims of the project. This is reviewed with project managers and clients before a full suite is developed.
Feedback
Full Design
Our team schedule and deliver a 'feedback forum' - in-person or via virtual meeting - to ensure that designs are feasible and share constructive feedback and creative proposals for improvement.
Project managers and designers present the design suite for feedback, explaining functionality and design decisions to ensure that feedback can be delivered constructively.
Once client feedback is integrated, reviewed and approved, our design team will sign off layouts and pass the project over to our build and content teams.
Our development team pick up the design suite and build the website on a development server, using our own WordPress framework for development.
Any custom development required is planned, designed and built at this point.
While content integration can sometimes be integrated earlier in the process, we commonly integrate and optimise copy, imagery, third-party integrations and media at this stage in development.
Our team schedule and deliver a second feedback forum to review the build, ensure the aims and signed-off designs are matched, and share constructive feedback and creative proposals for improvement.
A development link is shared with clients and project stakeholders for feedback.
Creatomatic run the completed website through a 40-point quality control checklist, ensuring that the build is backwards-compatible; that essential features are usable and fast-loading; and that the site is ready for launch.
We'll often carry out user testing at this stage, to identify any pain points in the user flow and ensure that the new website achieves the aims and objectives set out in the planning stage.
The website is transferred to a live server in preparation for launch.
Post-launch feedback is sought from clients and project stakeholders.
While we aim to keep this to a minimum, it's always important to accept that sometimes issues only arise once a website is accessible to the public - so Creatomatic always assign an appropriate budget to dealing with post-launch updates.
A final review of the project is carried out, to ensure that objectives have been met and to check budgets and timescales.
A Service Level Agreement (SLA) is drafted and the project moves to ongoing support as agreed.
High-performance mobile website development
Creatomatic have been mobile-first since 2013. Each and every one of our websites is designed for desktop and mobile use, and tested on all devices between too – ever-more important as mobile browsing becomes the norm in most of our development sectors.
We maintain our own server network for the highest performance and security hosting possible, carry out extensive user testing prior to launch, and maintain our own code frameworks – no third-party plugins or bloated, insecure visual builders here.
